3 people injured at Howard U. homecoming concert

WASHINGTON (AP) — Fire officials say three people have been injured during homecoming festivities at Howard University and are being treated.

District of Columbia fire department spokesman Oscar Mendez says the three people are being treated on the scene and it’s not clear whether they will be taken to hospitals.

Ambulances were called to the scene around 4 p.m. Friday for a report of injuries at the university’s outdoor homecoming concert, known as Yardfest. Friday’s concert was scheduled to include performances by artists including Big Sean, Juicy J and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
