Broward Co. hosts exhibit on aging, mental health

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Broward County is hosting an exhibit on aging and mental health.

The Broward County Community Partnerships Division, Health Care Services Section and Elderly Veterans and Services are partnering to host the educational exhibit. The exhibit will be on display Monday through Friday at the Broward County Governmental Center in Fort Lauderdale.

County officials say the exhibit was designed to raise awareness about mental health issues in people over age 50 and offer helpful resources.

William Green is the health care services administrator for Broward County Health Care Services. He says the display “will help individuals identify symptoms of depression and the actions they can take to seek help.”
