6 a.m. VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Love Ride 30, billed as the longest-running motorcycle fundraising event in the world, will be held to benefit the USO. Motorcycle riders and automobile drivers are welcome. The schedule will include performances by American Hitmen (6 a.m.) and The Forest Rangers with Katey Sagal (7:20 a.m.) and an 8:30 a.m. news conference with grand marshal Jay Leno at Harley-Davidson of Glendale, 3717 San Fernando Road. The ride ends at Castaic Lake Recreation Area with performances by Jackson Browne and special guests (11:30 a.m.), the Victor McLaglen Motor Corp Stunt and Drill Team (1 p.m.) and The Loveless (3:30 p.m.). Registration at 6 a.m.; riders leave for Castaic Lake at 9:15 a.m. 32132 Castaic Lake Drive, Castaic.

7:50 a.m. LONG BEACH — Thousands of people are expected to take part in a group meditation and “Stand for Freedom” rally, during which Chinese torture victims speak about their experiences. At 7:50 a.m.; meditation, at 11 a.m., rally; at noon, “Tour for Truth” concert.

8 a.m. STUDIO CITY — The eighth annual Los Angeles NF (neurofibromatosis) Walk and Doggie Costume Contest will be held to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation. The 5K route will be followed by silent and live auctions, raffle and the Halloween Canines in Costume contest. Walker check-in at 8 a.m.; walk at 9 a.m.

8:30 a.m. WESTWOOD — The sixth annual “Dribble for the Cure” event, featuring a 1.2-mile dribble course through the UCLA campus, will be held by UCLA Basketball, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the Cancer Research Program at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA. Finish line festivities will be held at the John Wooden Center’s Collins Court, where participants can meet for autographs and pictures with the UCLA women’s and men’s basketball teams. Proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research at Mattel Children’s Hospital. Registration at 8:30 a.m.; welcome ceremony at 10 a.m.; program at 10:15 a.m.; finish line festivities at 11:15 a.m.
