Man hospitalized with skull fracture after fight in Old Town

WICHITA, Kansas – A 21-year-old man is in the hospital after an altercation in Old Town early Saturday morning.

Wichita police arrested a 42-year-old man for aggravated battery after he allegedly placed a victim in a choke hold and repeatedly hit him over the head.

It happened in the 800 block of East 2nd Street around 12:30 Saturday morning.

The victim was taken to Via Christi St. Francis.

Wichita police say he suffered a skull fracture and a brain bleed.

He is now in serious condition.

Police are investigating what started the fight.
