Student arrested for making a threat at Valley Center High School

VALLEY CENTER, Kansas – Sedgwick County Deputies were called out to Valley Center High School Friday morning to investigate a report of a threat being made.

After deputies and detectives interviewed several people, a 14-year-old student was arrested and booked.

Authorities say the student made a criminal threat, and that school officials responded quickly to the situation.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with school officials to ensure students remain safe.
