HILLSBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) — Police say a 3-year-old New Hampshire boy who was struck by a car as he was walking away from a day-care center suffered head injuries.

Police said the boy was on a sidewalk holding his mother’s hand when the vehicle jumped the curb and hit him Wednesday afternoon. He is recovering at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

The driver of the car, 24-year-old Katlynn Hollinsworth of Hillsborough, was arraigned Thursday on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-degree assault. Her bond was set at $10,000. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
