Toddler hurt by glass as shots are fired into home

ODENTON, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County Police say a 19-month-old girl was injured by glass fragments after shots were fired into her home in Odenton.

Police say the shots were fired into a home on Cadbury Drive about 9:45 p.m. Monday. Officers say a man, his wife and their three young children were in the home.

Police say the 19-month-old was hit by fragments when the window shattered. She was treated at the scene.

Witnesses told police they saw a man with a long weapon in his hand run from the scene and flee in a car. Police say the crime does not appear to be random.
