WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) – Police in Oklahoma say they’ve recaptured the last two of eight inmates who escaped a transport van when guards stopped to take at least one ill prisoner to a hospital.

Six of the eight inmates were found shortly after the escape was reported.

The van and a shotgun left inside also were recovered.

Police say the inmates were left in locked compartments in the van, but kicked out a partition and were able to get to the front of the van that apparently had been left running.
