CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Health policy experts and organizations that work with women are gearing up for the Affordable Care Act in New Hampshire.
The New Hampshire Women’s Health Network and Planned Parenthood of Northern New England are holding a conference Monday to discuss strategies for getting women and families covered by health insurance under the federal law.
Speakers include U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, along with women’s health experts from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and George Washington University. The conference also will include representatives from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Enroll America, a nonprofit trying to spread the word about the health overhaul law.
Enrollment opens Oct. 1 for health plans being offered through the new Affordable Care Act online markets.
