Police say stabbing suspect was on acid

WICHITA, Kansas — Police released more information Monday about a stabbing that put both the victim and the suspect in the hospital.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Victor Place, near the College Hill area.

An 18-year-old witness says his 36-year-old roommate took some acid and began stabbing a 19-year-old friend.

The 18 year old says he got a bat and hit his roommate to stop the stabbing but it didn’t work.

Police arrived. They say they tased the suspect, but still had trouble taking control of the situation.

By the time the incident was over, both the victim and the suspect had serious to critical injuries.

The victim had part of the knife blade broken off in his skull. He is recovering at Wesley.

The suspect was also transported to Wesley.
