WICHITA, Kansas – A car driving near Taft and McLean ended up in the Arkansas River Sunday night.

Police got a call around 7:20 p.m. that a car had gone into the river.

The man in woman in the car were able to make it out without any help, but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Witnesses say it looked like they were going a bit too fast and didn’t turn which caused them to go straight into the river.

No injuries were reported. Police are still investigating.
