Northwestern names Clawson interim nursing dean

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Dana Clawson has been named interim dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health at Northwestern State University.

Clawson replaces Norann Planchock, who retired Aug. 31 after 14 years as dean and 36 years on Northwestern State’s faculty.

The university will launch a national search for a permanent dean.

Clawson’s appointment is subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System.

She is a Northwestern State graduate and holds doctor of nursing science degree from Louisiana State University.
