WICHITA, Kansas – – The Wichita State volleyball team won its first conference match Thursday night with a 3 to 0 sweep of the Missouri State Bears at Koch Arena.

WSU won 25-20, 25-19 and 25-23.

Wichita State won its home season opener for the ninth straight season.

Ashlyn Driskill and Ashley Andrade had 14 kills apiece, Chelsey Feekin made 46 assists and Dani Mostrom came up with 12 digs.

The Shockers open play in the Shocker Volleyball Classic Friday night at 7:30 p.m. against South Dakota at Koch Arena.

In the first game of the Shocker Volleyball Classic South Dakota lost to seventh-ranked Hawaii 3 to 0.
