Baby found in home filled with bed bugs and roaches

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are investigating another case of child endangerment.

A person from Oklahoma called police concerned about the mother and child.

Officers went to check on them at a home near 9th and West Street.

They found the 23-year-old mother and 4-month-old child.

The child had flu-like symptoms and was in a home filled with bed bugs and roaches.

The mother admitted to taking drugs.

The baby was taken to the hospital and is in protective custody.
