WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, Louisiana (NBC News) – A Louisiana gator hunter made this colossal catch over the weekend.
Jim White, of Ventress, was hunting Saturday in West Baton Rouge Parish when he snagged this 13-foot, 4-inch, 760 pounds alligator.
Louisiana doesn’t track the weight of gators only the length of the reptiles.
The longest alligator ever caught in Louisiana was 19-feet, 2-inches nearly 6 feet longer than this behemoth beast.
This year’s alligator season has been good all over the south.
Earlier this month, two gator hunters in Mississippi caught a 741 and 727 pound alligators.
