Hamilton County Sheriff arrested over the weekend

HAMILTON COUNTY, Kansas – A sheriff in a western Kansas community was arrested over the weekend.

Hamilton County Sheriff, Richard Garza, was arrested at his home in Syracuse early Sunday morning on suspicion of aggravated assault.

Court sources tell KSN News that no charges have been filed at this point.

The “Syracuse Journal” is reporting that Garza has put himself on administrative suspension, while the Greeley County Sheriff’s Office and the KBI investigate.
