WICHITA, Kansas – Four men are in custody after police say they robbed a Wichita smoke shop with guns.

Police say the report came out after four men entered Tee Pee’s Smoke Shop in the 900 block of East Harry.

“They got some property and small amount of cash,” says Sgt. Bart Brunscheen with the Wichita Police Department. “We got a great description of a suspect vehicle. An officer responding to the area was able to locate it and then get behind the car.”

But there was no police chase. The suspects pulled into a gas station and just stopped.

“The suspect vehicle actually pulled into the Quik Trip here at Kellogg and Hillside,” says Brunscheen. “Multiple officers, Sedgwick County deputies and some detectives assisted and we did a felony car stop. We took four individuals into custody.”

The suspects are answering questions downtown at police headquarters. The car involved is being processed by CSI for potential evidence.

No shots were fired and nobody was hurt.
