Man makes first appearance after allegedly fondling children

HUTCHINSON, Kansas – Tyler Lee Ford made his first court appearance Monday morning.

He is facing one charge of aggravated burglary and three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Those three charges would fall under Jessica’s Law.

Officials report that Ford broke into a house on South Monroe Street Sunday morning and made his way upstairs where two girls and a friend was sleeping.

The father chased Ford out of the house, but he left his cell phone which helped police track him down.

Ford’s being held on a $85,000 bond.

His next court appearance is set for September 18 where formal charges will be filed.
