Nursing dean retires at Northwestern State

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Norann Planchock, who served as dean of Northwestern State University’s College of Nursing and Allied Health since 1999, has been named dean emerita upon her retirement from the university.

Planchock arrived at Northwestern State in 1977. During her tenure as dean, the college expanded its undergraduate and graduate concentrations in nursing, radiologic technology and allied health and became a leader in non-traditional delivery of coursework.

Planchock also worked to secure grants, partnerships and private funding for university programs.
