Wingnuts drop game three of championship series

WICHITA, Kansas – – The Wichita Wingnuts are one game away from elimination after a 7 to 6 loss to the Gary Southshore RailCats in the American Association Championship Series Friday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Cristian Guerrero drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the eighth inning for Gary.

The Wingnuts rallied from a 6 to 3 deficit by score three times in the bottom of the seventh. A two-run single by Abel Nieves tied the game at 6-all.

Wichita will host game four Saturday night. The Wingnuts must win to force game five Sunday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
