WICHITA, Kansas – The United Way kicked off its annual fundraising campaign Thursday morning by showcasing the local companies that help with the charity.
The kickoff breakfast featured messages from the campaign chairman, and NASCAR racing alum Chip Ganassi.
The event also highlighted the United Way’s local impact on the community.
“I gotta say that the flying challenge in Wichita is just another one of the many examples of how the United Way of the Plains adds value to every dollar contributed,” said John O’Leary, Airbus Industries.
United Way also announced its annual fundraising goal of $15,400,000 to address community needs in Sedgwick and surrounding counties.
