The sheriff’s department says a 2008 Chevrolet pickup, driven by 20-year-old Troy Nisly, of Hutchinson was north bound on Herren Road.

Nisly failed to stop and struck a 2002 Toyota, driven by 18-year-old Anja Miller from Partridge.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nisly was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The sheriff’s department says the investigation is continuing, and the results will be turned over to the Reno County District Attorney’s Office. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
