WICHITA, Kansas – A Wichita man who was arrested in Hutchinson in January after a standoff with police has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

Justin L. Wolke, 30, Wichita, pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a stolen firearm.

In his plea, he admitted that on Jan. 9, 2013, he fled when police officers attempted to stop his car.

There was a warrant for his arrest on a parole violation charge.

He ran into a residence at 806 N. Monroe in Hutchison.

After a standoff lasting several hours, he was arrested.

Police seized a rifle from him.

They determined the rifle, a Romarm/Cugir, 7.62 x 39, was reported stolen from a residence in Wichita in October 2012.
