ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas – Arkansas City police report that Dakota Graham was arrested on Saturday for abuse of a child and aggravated battery in connection to injuries sustained by his 3-year-old daughter that sent her to the hospital.

The victim’s grandmother called Arkansas City police after learning the child was in the hospital from a suspected incident of abuse.

Officers went to Graham’s house to gather evidence and speak with him about the incident. He told officers that his daughter had tripped or fallen coming out of the bathroom.

Police brought in Graham for questioning, where he reportedly admitted to the abuse.

The child remains in the care of her mother who was at work during the incident. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
