WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita fire crews responded to Chrome Plus International in the 2900 block of South West Street early Friday morning.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke pouring out of the building.

Once they entered, they found three chemical vats on fire.

Officials say the main concern was the chemical runoff from spraying the fire, which is why the hazmat team was called out.

The fire department set up dikes to contain the chemical runoff, and they say that prevented any hazardous material from escaping.
