2nd SF porn performer gets positive HIV test

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A second performer at the San Francisco adult film company Kink Studios has tested positive for HIV.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/15xmoXL) that the porn actor, who goes by the name Rod Daily, wrote on his Twitter account that he contracted HIV in the past month.

Kink chief executive Peter Acworth tells the newspaper that Daily and an actress known as Cameron Bay, who tested positive last month, are in an off-screen relationship.

Daily said he is leaving the porn industry. Daily performed mostly in gay scenes, according to Acworth.

Last week a porn industry group lifted a moratorium on adult film production that was prompted by Bay’s diagnosis. The Free Speech Coalition lifted the ban after all performers who worked with Bay were medically cleared.
