WuShock’s popularity leads to exclusive Facebook fan page

WU Shock

WICHITA, Kansas – WuShock, Wichita State University’s mascot, faced a conundrum.

Wu reached Facebook’s maximum of 5,000 friends in 2009 and hasn’t been able to add anyone new ever since, with thousands of friend requests pending.

This has been troubling to Wu as he wants to be everybody’s friend and strongly believes that you can’t have too many.

As a result, WuShock has announced his intent to move strictly to a fan page on Facebook effective Oct. 1.

This means Wu will never again have to turn someone away, and he will be able to interact with all of his friends throughout Shocker Nation and the world.

In an effort not to lose any of his friends in the shuffle, Wu is requesting that all of his friends “like” him at Facebook.com/wu.shock.fans.

As a reward, he has planned several new features on his fan page to be rolled out during the next several months.
