WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department had to settle a fight over sack lunches at the jail.

On Monday, a 36-year-old inmate was confronted by a deputy after he was seen taking three sack lunches from the deputy’s refrigerator.

The inmate refused and wanted to fight.

The deputy pushed the inmate back and the inmate and the other 53 inmates became belligerent.

Twenty additional deputies were called to help.

After approximately seven minutes, all the inmates were secured back in their cells.
