HUTCHINSON, Kansas – Astronauts helped raise some cash for the Cosmosphere Saturday.

Hundreds of people also waited in the line to meet several Apollo 13 and shuttle astronauts.

The day started with a book signing by Buzz Aldrin.

Astronauts Steven Hawley and Jeff Ashby also met with fans and even signed some autographs.

They’re taking part in the 2nd Annual Fly Around Dine Around fundraiser. The goal is to raise money for the center, but to also continue the message that anything is possible.

“Grew up in Salina, and got to do some really cool things and part of it was I had a dream and the other part was I worked hard to try to achieve that dream. I think that’s the message for the kids today is think big,” said Steven Hawley, astronaut.
