2 escape serious injury in watercraft collision

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Two people escaped serious injury when their personal watercrafts collided near the Atlantic City inlet.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks tells The Press of Atlantic City (http://bit.ly/14Pev9O) that the department’s water rescue unit was dispatched to the scene around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

Both riders refused treatment at the scene, and authorities did not disclose further details on the two operators or their injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the state police’s marine services bureau.
