WICHITA, Kansas – The Blacktop Nationals kicked off Friday in Wichita and runs through Sunday.
Car enthusiasts are revving their engines for the weekend event.
Custom cars, hot rods, and motorcycles will line up along Douglas in downtown Wichita all weekend so people can show off their rides.
Blacktop organizers are especially proud to host the event in Wichita.
“To me, what I absolutely love about this, especially here in Wichita where you have such great enthusiasts and wonderful families. It’s a whole event for everybody to come down and have a great time-enjoy downtown, have a lot of fun talking to all these people that put their heart and soul into remaking their cars,” said Steve Ling, Ford Motor Company.
Proceeds from the show benefit McPherson College and Kansas Honor Flights.
