Man charged with beating puppy to death with a baseball bat

WICHITA, Kansas – A Wichita man was officially charged in Sedgwick County Court Thursday with beating a puppy to death.

Monday night, Wichita police found a puppy dead at a home.

Brian Jackson, 28, is facing one count of cruelty to animals.

He’s being held on a $25,000 bond.

Officers went to his home in the 2600 block of East Elm Street Monday after a report of a burglary.

There was no such crime, but they did find the body of puppy that had been beaten to death with a bat.

Jackson will be back in court on September 5th.
