Trash truck dumps load in street after fire

Trash Fire

TOPEKA, Kansas – A truck load of trash didn’t make it to the landfill as planned this morning in Topeka.

That’s because the driver of a Shawnee County refuse truck was forced to dump the load of trash on the road after he was alerted by another motorist that the load of trash he was hauling was on fire.

Firefighters from the Shawnee Heights Fire District responded to put out the trash fire after it was dumped on the street.
