GOLDEN CITY, Mo. (AP) — Searchers looking for a 12-year-old girl southwest Missouri girl have found a body near the town where she disappeared Monday.
But the Missouri Highway Patrol says that it cannot confirm the body discovered Wednesday afternoon is that of Adriaunna Horton, of Golden City. The patrol says tests will be needed to make a positive identification
Adriaunna was last seen late Monday afternoon getting into a vehicle at a park in Golden City. The driver, 34-year-old Bobby Bourne Jr., of Lamar, was detained about 90 minutes later and is being held on $1 million bond on a charge of kidnapping.
Adriaunna’s father says Bourne once worked for him and that their children played together.
