WICHITA, Kansas – David Kendall was in Sedgwick County Court Monday.

Kendall is accused of sex crimes against several inmates at the jail.

Four victims took the stand to testify against Kendall.

The four said they were sexually assaulted or raped by Kendall back in 2012.

Each victim shared similar testimony saying the assault occurred in their jail cells.

“I froze up. I can’t believe this happened to me,” said one inmate.

“I was forcibly raped by a detention deputy. It’s something I’m going to have issues with for the rest of my life,” another told the judge.

During cross-examination, the defense presented documented evidence saying that some of the victims hired attorneys with hopes to make millions off of untrue accusations and claims.
