Drought conditions easing up in Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas – All the rain has helped wipe out some of the drought conditions around the state.

A year ago, most of the map above was red indicating exceptional drought.

Now, only about a quarter of the state is in that category.

About half the state, mostly western Kansas still does have some level of drought.
