WICHITA, Kansas– More rain could possibly be on the way this week bringing more potential problems for homeowners like flooded basements and leaking roofs.
But for some local companies, they’re just trying to keep up with the demands for repairs.
“We just pull off and we just keep going,” said Seth Harrington, Reddi Root’r.
Seth Harrington wtih Reddi Root’r has been busy these past couple of weeks trying to keep up as calls for repairs and inspections pour in from left to right.
Caused by heavy rainfall across town for days that’s leading to lots of headaches for homeowners.
“I’m afraid if it doesn’t get fix soon it will start flooding down here,” said Owen Grote, homeowner.
Owen Grote knew something wasn’t right after hearing his sump pump making a rather unusual noise.
“I thought maybe it was the air conditioner running or something,” said Grote, homeowner. “When I went downstairs it sounded bad like there’s just some broken parts in there going around and it isn’t pumping the water out.”
Harrington was called out to check the problem, and turns out the sump needed a new part.
Harrington says often times homeowners would forget to do a routine check and test.
“It wouldn’t hurt for people to take a five gallon bucket of water or two, sometimes it take two,” said Harrington. “To make sure that pump is working or to make sure they can activate the flow.”
With more rain in the forecast, Harrington knows that he’ll continue to be flooded with calls.
