Grenade found in Goodwill donation box

DERBY, Kansas – The Derby Goodwill store had to be evacuated Wednesday after a grenade was found in a donation box.

Employees at the store were sorting through a box when the discovery was made.

Police and Wichita’s bomb squad were called to the store, and several inside were evacuated as a precaution.

The bomb squad determined the grenade was not active and removed it from the store.
