Great Bend man arrested for possession of meth, other drugs

GREAT BEND, Kansas – The Barton County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 36-year-old Great Bend man for possession of meth.

On Tuesday evening about 8:45, officers executed a search warrant at 1014 ½ Stone Street.

Sheriff’s detectives had developed information that indicated the occupant of that residence was in possession of controlled substances.

A search of the residence yielded a substantial amount of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Police arrested Shawn Satterfield.

He was transported and booked at the Barton County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Satterfield’s bond was set at $100,000.
