Alzheimer’s group holding dementia symposium in SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A discussion on caring for people affected by dementia is scheduled for Columbia.

On Friday, the South Carolina chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is holding a symposium at the Columbia Conference Center.

The daylong program features a keynote address from Melanie Bunn, a nurse with decades of experience caring for people with dementia.

There are also discussions planned on driving safety and dealing with probate court issues, as well as medication and research updates.
