Wichita woman dies after weekend crash

WICHITA, Kansas – A 83-year-old Wichita woman died after injuries she sustained in an accident Sunday morning on Oliver Street in Wichita.

Police say 83-year-old Dana Rausch was southbound on Oliver when a northbound white Chevy truck, driven by a 64-year-old man, crossed the center line and hit Rausch’s vehicle head-on.

She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police are looking for witnesses to the crash.

“He lost control, crossed center line, then struck her. They know what happened during accident, but they don’t know what happened prior to. They want to know the driver’s actions before the accident,” said Lt. Steve Kenney, Wichita Police Department.
