Indiana boy to compete in World Dwarf Games

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A 7-year-old southern Indiana boy is taking his love for sports to the 2013 World Dwarf Games in Michigan.

Amon Armour will compete in basketball, track and field, flag football, soccer and floor hockey at this week’s games in Lansing, Mich.

His mother, Tasha Moorman, tells the News and Tribune (http://bit.ly/17tFzvQ ) she teaches her son to focus on his abilities and not his stature. He has been playing organized sports since age 4.

Moorman says she’s worked to instill in Amon the belief that he can do anything he sets his mind to. She says she hopes participating in the games gives him a stronger sense that he is not the only person dealing with dwarfism issues
