Woman leads Wichita police on chase

WICHITA, Kansas – Police say a chase started Friday evening after a truck ran a red light and refused to stop.

The officer was at Lincoln and Main Street around 10 p.m. when he saw a white Dodge truck run a red light. The driver, a 45-year-old woman, refused to stop and a short chase started.

It ended in the 800 block of South Broadway when the suspect stopped the truck and took off running. Officers caught up with her in an alley and arrested her.

They found drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles on her and when they radioed in her information, found that she had been involved in two previous hit-and-run accidents.

She was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on several charges.
