Police make three arrests in a fatal hit-and-run accident

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police announced Friday morning that they arrested a 26-year-old George Childers and two others in fatal hit-and-run accident.

It happened back on July 5th near 21st and Piatt.

Lloyd Ferguson was riding his horse and was killed.

A 6-year-old riding with Ferguson was critically injured.

A tip to Crime Stoppers led authorities to the 2900 block of North Coolidge where they found that car that struck Ferguson in the garage.

Police say two women, 19-year-old Colleen Fisher and 28-year-old Elease Childers, George’s sister, are accused of obstruction of justice.

Police say there could be more arrests.
