Wingnuts win wild one in El Paso


EL PASO, Texas – – The Wichita Wingnuts avoided the series sweep with an 11 to 9 victory over the El Paso Diablos Wednesday night.

Jake Kahaulelio was 2-for-6 scoring four times and hitting a home run.

John Rodriguez had a three single and a triple in six at-bats also scoring twice.

C.J. Ziegler had two doubles and two singles.

Anthony Capra (4-2) picked up the win scattering seven hits, walking four and six strikeouts.

Josh Dew earned his 16th save.

The Wingnuts will make a big move east on Thursday traveling from El Paso to Newark, New Jersey to take on the Newark Bears over the weekend.
