WICHITA, Kansas – Spirit Aerosystems employees donated almost a semi full of school supplies to the Salvation Army Thursday.

Then and army of Dillons volunteers helped sort it all out.

The supplies will go to local kids in need.

“Even though it appears the economy is improving, there are still a lot of our Wichita neighbors who are struggling, and the recent statistic I heard is one in five Wichita citizens are at or below the poverty level,” said Major Glen Caddy, Salvation Army.

Major Caddy is looking for volunteers to help with next week’s distribution of the school supplies.

If you can help, call the Wichita office at 316-263-ARMY.
