WICHITA, Kansas – Fik-Shun lived to dance another day on the FOX prime time hit “So You Think You Can Dance”.

The dancer is a Wichita native and now lives in Las Vegas.

He says he’s grateful for the opportunity he has to prove himself as a dancer.

“My style of dancing is hip hop or street dance,” explains Wichita native Fik-Shun.

He says when he hears music – it’s nearly impossible for him to not move.

“In a way it’s just in me, and I feel it’s something I can’t control, it’s more instinct than a choice.”

In the beginning he says he got some of his inspiration from watching other dancers clips on YouTube.

“I don’t take their moves but I try to take their mindset, how they came up with their moves and style,” explains Fik-Shun.

Fik-Shun says he thrives on the chance to perform for thousands and is grateful for the opportunities “So You Think You Can Dance” provided him as a dancer.

“The pressure shoots up and it’s my time, do or die. Fight or flight, you have to roll with it.”

And he prefers to roll with it without talking.

“What I love about dancing, I can communicate without having to talk. I’d rather say it through movement.”

You can catch the next round of eliminations of “So You Think You Can Dance on Tuesday”.
