Argument leads to shooting near 21st and Broadway

WICHITA, Kansas – A short confrontation led to two men being shot near the intersection of 20th and Park Place around 3:30 Sunday morning.

Witnesses say the two men were walking to their car when a confrontation began with the suspects.

The victims drove themselves to Via Christi on St. Francis before police arrived at the scene.  One victim, a 23-year-old, was shot in the stomach and was taken into surgery.

The other victim, a 21-year-old, was shot in the hand and received non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating but don’t believe the shooting is gang related at this time and are still searching for the suspects.
