Arkansas City police arrest man on four counts of child abuse

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas – Arkansas City police have arrested a man for four counts of child abuse.

It happened in the 1300 block of North 12th Street Wednesday night around 9 p.m.

Officers located four children who had physical injuries that were consistent with physical abuse.

The children were treated at South Central Regional Medical Center, and they were taken into police protective custody.

Police say 24-year-old Jeffrey Yatsko was arrested for four counts of child abuse.

He was taken to the Cowley County Jail.  He is being held on a $10,000 bond.

The case will be forwarded to the Cowley County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
