Wingnuts and Sox game suspended due to weather

WICHITA, Kansas – – Due to the bad weather Tuesday night, the Wichita Wingnuts and Amarillo Sox game has been suspended until Wednesday.

The game is tied a 4-all after six innings. The contest will resume Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, followed by Wednesday’s rescheduled game.

Tickets for both nights may be used.

The Wingnuts scored single runs in the first four innings before Joe Welk’s three-run homer in the fifth knotted the game at 4 to 4.

Wichita starter Justin Klipp gave up four earned runs in six innings of work. Klipp struck out three with one walk.
